Interesting Thing about Richard Attenborough





“Richard Attenborough”  The Legend  of English Flim Industry ( I think Hollywood would be the perfect word to utter at this point) has left us on 24-August 2014.
Here we will discuss some interesting facts of his life, may be some of you are aware of it but most of us are not. If anyone of you know something interesting about this legend then you are welcome to give Tribute to this legend by heart.

Life : 29 August 1923 – 24 August 2014 ( He Completed  90 Years  11 Months and 25 days presents on the Earth)

: During Second world war Attenborough joined Royal Air Force. After further training he volunteered to fly with the film unit, there he got a permanent ear damage.

: The house in which  Attenborough used to live with this wife (  Actress Sheila Sim to whom he married in 1945) got sold for £ 11.1 Million     

: On 26 December 2004 Attenborough’s 15 year old granddaughter was killed in a sunami caused by the Indian Ocean Earthquake in Thailand where she was on holiday with some of her friends and family members.

: In that accident his grandson Samuel Holland and granddaughter Alice Holland survived after suffering severe leg injuries.

: Two times in his late life he failed seriously ill but survived – First in August 2008 due to some heart problem and fitted with pacemaker. Second in the same year 2008 in the month of December after a stroke he got admitted in St. George’s Hospital  in Tooting, London.

: Attenborough died on 24 August 2014, five days before his 91st birthday. Richard Attenborough was survived by his wife of almost 70 years, their two surviving children, six surviving grandchildren and a great-grandchild
